His Majesty King Samuel Maxegane Sello Nkuna
Born of Trial, Crowned by Destiny
In the quiet settlement of Walmansdal, beneath circumstances heavy with uncertainty, a child was born whose life would come to embody resilience, restoration, and royal purpose. His Majesty King Samuel Maxegane Sello Nkuna entered the world amid dispute and danger. Before his first breath, his existence was contested within the Nkuna Royal family, placing both his mother and unborn child at risk.
In an act of profound courage, his mother chose exile over endangerment, preserving the life that destiny had already marked for greatness. It was a sacrifice that would echo through generations — for in protecting her son, she preserved a crown.
As truth slowly surfaced, his father came to learn that he had been misled into denying his own blood. Determined to correct the wrong, he returned to reclaim his son. Yet royal tensions persisted, and for a time the young Samuel was placed under the protection of his aunt, who safeguarded him for nearly two years. Eventually restored to his father’s lineage, his life from the very beginning bore the unmistakable imprint of divine preservation. What was threatened could not be destroyed. What was destined could not be denied.
A Childhood Forged in Movement and Perseverance
The early years of Samuel’s life were marked not by palace walls, but by movement and adaptation. From Troya to Mamelodi, from Mabopane to Soshanguve, each relocation strengthened his character and sharpened his resilience. His education began in Mamelodi, continued in Mabopane, and culminated in Soshanguve, where he completed his secondary schooling.
For reasons of safety, his mother chose not to send him to initiation school, prioritizing protection in a season of vulnerability. Though tradition paused, destiny did not.
From a young age, he laboured alongside his mother, selling brooms to sustain their household. Until his matric year, he carried this responsibility with dignity. The marketplace became his training ground, teaching him discipline, humility, negotiation, and endurance. Hardship did not diminish him; it refined him. In those formative years, the spirit of leadership quietly matured.
The Making of a Leader
Determined to rise beyond circumstance, King Samuel pursued higher education at Credo College, earning a BA diploma. He entered the security industry at its foundational level, serving as a security guard at Grey Security. Yet within him was a vision that exceeded his position. Through unwavering discipline, strategic insight, and relentless commitment, he ascended steadily through the ranks.
His leadership would later position him in senior executive roles, including Business Development Director International at G4S. In these capacities, he did more than manage — he transformed. He challenged outdated structures, elevated professional standards, and advocated for empowerment and systemic change within the security fraternity. He was not content to inherit the status quo; he sought to redefine it.
Entrepreneurship soon followed. With courage and foresight, he established Diligent Security Services. Under his stewardship, the company flourished, earning recognition for excellence and integrity. Yet when the season shifted, he made the bold decision to voluntarily liquidate the enterprise — not as surrender, but as strategic release. For a greater calling awaited him.
A Crown Confirmed in the Spirit
In a season of spiritual seeking, Samuel turned toward the church in pursuit of divine clarity. It was during this time that his ancestors appeared to him repeatedly in dreams, summoning him to reclaim what was rightfully his — his Kingship.
Confirmation followed revelation. A pastor, through spiritual discernment, declared him the chosen one. This affirmation did not surprise the man who had long felt the stirring of ancestral purpose within his soul. In 2019, His Majesty accepted his Kingship and was ordained in his absence. Though the ceremony was unseen by many, its significance was profound. A crown deferred had been restored.
A Reign Defined by Service
Unlike rulers who seek power, His Majesty King Samuel Maxegane Sello Nkuna defines leadership through service. His reign is measured not in titles, but in transformed lives.
He has donated vehicles to disadvantaged individuals, restoring mobility and opportunity. He has built homes for underprivileged families, replacing vulnerability with stability. Through the distribution of food parcels, he has extended compassion to households burdened by poverty. His generosity has reached orphaned and vulnerable children through consistent support of SOS NGOs and orphanage homes.
His Kingship is humanitarian in action and restorative in purpose.
Beyond charity, he has become a unifier of kingdoms and communities once divided by fragmentation and discord. Through dialogue, reconciliation, and visionary leadership, he has strengthened traditional structures and fostered harmony. Within the agricultural fraternity, he has contributed to transformation and development, advocating for sustainability and economic empowerment in rural communities.
Spiritually, he has served as a Pastor and marriage counsellor, guiding families toward healing, stability, and renewed covenant. Countless lives have been redirected through his ministry. He has supported charity clubs and community initiatives, reinforcing the principle that leadership must uplift the grassroots. His participation in soccer and community sport reflects his enduring commitment to youth development, discipline, and character formation.
